Pollination Welcomes David Haynes and the rePlant Capital Team to Strengthen Firm’s Food and Agriculture Practice
Washington DC, September 6 – Pollination, the global climate change investment and advisory firm, is delighted to announce the integration of the rePlant Capital team into the company. This addition further broadens and deepens Pollination’s expertise in its food and agriculture practice and bolsters its commitment to continued growth in the US market.
Founded in Boulder, Colorado, in 2019, rePlant Capital develops innovative financing solutions to finance the transition to regenerative agriculture for U.S. farmers. A certified B Corporation, rePlant Capital has raised tens of millions of dollars to scale regenerative agriculture practices across 10,000 acres of U.S. farmland in three states and five crop categories, positively impacting ecological outcomes.
David S. Haynes, co-founder and former Chief Executive Officer of rePlant Capital, joins Pollination as a Managing Director in the U.S. advisory business. With over three decades of experience in investment and entrepreneurship, he is a pioneer in impact venture capital, climate finance, and the benefit corporation movement. Prior to leading rePlant Capital, he was the Managing Director for Greenmont Capital, an impact venture capital firm. Also joining Pollination are rePlant’s Kyle Rudzinski and Tara Davids.
“We are thrilled to be joining Pollination’s world-class team to help leading companies develop and implement climate solutions,” said David Haynes. “This is a unique opportunity to build upon the work started at rePlant Capital to transform food systems through regenerative agriculture whilst driving greater systems change through collaboration with Pollination’s global team.”
John Morton, Managing Director and Pollination’s Global Head of Advisory, commented: “Dave, Kyle and Tara are joining Pollination at a great time – as our work in the US and in the food and agriculture sectors continues to expand rapidly. Tackling the climate challenge requires urgent and creative solutions to addressing the transition needs in the agricultural sector and this team will help shape and drive our strategy and continued growth.”
David, alongside key team members from rePlant Capital, joins Pollination’s food and agriculture practice. This division plays an essential role in providing guidance and counsel to clients across corporate, government and financial sectors. It assists clients in the development of science-based strategies, goal setting, metrics for impact measurement and management frameworks, financing solutions, and new initiatives needed to enable their transition to a low carbon economy.
Launched in 2019 across North America, EMEA and APAC, Pollination now has a global team of more than 200, including hubs in Washington D.C. and Chicago, with a significant track record of high impact work in developing strategies and structuring investments to expedite decarbonization and nature positive outcomes.
